Consent and Use Rights

All entrants and winners in the contest retain copyright to their work. By submitting their work for the contest, photographers whose images are chosen either for one of the prizes or for exhibition grant The Fountain a royalty-free license to use their images for the purpose of display on the contest related websites, promotional materials for the contest and the conference, and exhibitions before or after the announcement of the winners. Entrants grant The Fountain and Peace Islands Institute the right to use their name and works for promotion in any medium including radio, newspapers, other print publications, television, videotape, and/or distribution over the internet. Samples of the winning photos will be released to the news media for promotional purposes.

Photographers grant use of their images and their names as stated without further contact or compensation from the organizers of the contest other than the prizes announced. Any use of images and the names of photographers will be accompanied by proper credit to the owner of the work. Photographers of selected entries grant The Fountain and Peace Islands Institute the right to use the work in a post-contest gallery book and/or in a possible traveling exhibition.
